Non-Abelian vacua in D=5, N=4 gauged supergravity
We study essentially non-Abelian backgrounds in the five dimensional N=4 gauged SU(2)×U(1) supergravity. Static configurations that are invariant under either the SO(4) spatial rotations or with respect to the SO(3) rotations and translations along the fourth spatial coordinate are considered. By analyzing consistency conditions for the equations for supersymmetric Killing spinors we derive the...
متن کاملFine tuning and six-dimensional gauged N = (1, 0) supergravity vacua
We find a new family of supersymmetric vacuum solutions in the sixdimensional chiral gauged N = (1, 0) supergravity theory. They are generically of the form AdS3 × S3, where the 3-sphere is squashed homogeneously along its Hopf fibres. The squashing is freely adjustable, corresponding to changing the 3-form charge, and the solution is supersymmetric for all squashings. In a limit where the leng...
متن کاملGauged Supergravity from Dimensional Reduction
We perform a generalised Scherk-Schwarz reduction of the effective action of the het-erotic string on T 6 to obtain a massive N = 4 supergravity theory in four dimensions. The local symmetry-group of the resulting d = 4 theory includes a Heisenberg group, which is a subgroup of the global O(6, 6 + n) obtained in the standard reduction. We show explicitly that the same theory can be obtained by ...
متن کاملA Note on E11 and Three-dimensional Gauged Supergravity
We determine the gauge symmetries of all p–forms in maximal threedimensional gauged supergravity (0 ≤ p ≤ 3) by requiring invariance of the Lagrangian. It is shown that in a particular ungauged limit these symmetries are in precise correspondence to those predicted by the very-extended KacMoody algebra E11. We demonstrate that whereas in the ungauged limit the bosonic gauge algebra closes off-s...
